At the end of September, the Rail Baltica Estonia Business Network gathered in the cozy VIP room of its member, Tallinn Airport Ltd, where Chairman of the Management Board Riivo Tuvike provided an overview of current trends in aviation and, more specifically, of Tallinn Airport’s development projects on the southern apron of the runway. In that area, the airport is developing its new cargo terminal, and the Rail Baltica route will pass just a stone’s throw away. This creates an opportunity to connect air and rail transport, enabling businesses to consider such multimodality in their future plans.

RBBN’s partner Priit Koff from Pristine PA presented the program for RBBN’s upcoming study trip to Poland in October. The trip will include three exciting days in Warsaw, filled with discussions on Poland’s political landscape, developments in the transport market, and business opportunities. The highlight will be a business seminar on October 16, organized in cooperation with the Estonian Investment Agency (EIS) and the Polish Chamber of Road Transport and Forwarding (IGTL). More than 15 participants have registered for the RBBN business delegation.
The third presentation of the seminar focused on the specifics of Polish business culture. Vadim Shabarov, Operations Manager of the international rail logistics company Baltic Rail, shared his experiences and observations based on over 15 years of daily cooperation with Polish transport companies. In addition to the significant difference in scale that Estonian businesses must take into account when operating in Poland, he emphasized that just as there is no single, uniform “Estonia,” there is also no homogeneous “Poland”—broad generalizations should therefore be avoided.
