Henrik Hololei, the director General for Mobility and Transport( dG-MoVE) at European Commission gave a\u00a0presentation on the importance of Rail Baltic for Europe. Baiba Rubesa, CEO of RB Rail Ltd. had a presentation about\u201eRail Baltic: Project of the Century for the Baltic States\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>Other sessions featured\u00a0Kim Smedegaard Andersen, Vice Technical\u00a0director of Sund &amp; B\u00e6lt A\/S, who told the story of\u00a0the \u00d8resund bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark and the story of the Fermern tunnel. Tiina Haapsalo, the chief policy adviser on transport and infrastructure at the Confederation of Finnish Industries, discussed the Finnish views on Rail Baltic project and\u00a0Nauris Klava, head of the pan-Baltic advisory services at Ernst &amp;Young, introduced the ongoing research on economic viability of Rail Baltic.<\/p>\n<p>The conference was\u00a0held in English and was moderated by Neeme Raud, journalist of the Estonian public Broadcasting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rail Baltic Business Network organized an international conference &#8220;Business Case: Rail Baltic&#8221; which took place\u00a0on October 13 in Tallinn.
